Frequenty Requested Tests - Torque-Tension-Compresson-Angle Testing |
|
The sample graph above is from a Torque/Tension/Compression/Angle Test. From this rundown, torque, tension and compression of a bushing were dynamically measured. This test is identical to the Torque/Tension Angle Test with the addition of the bushing compression measurement. To do this, the bushings are strain-gauged for measurement. This test allows the customer to see how much bolt tension goes into the compliance of the joint and the resulting compression that is being applied to the bushing. Customers can then take the compression data and do calculations to determine safety factors against joint slipping. Copyright © 2007-2008 General Fasteners Company - All Rights Reserved |
